The 52 year old who taught us the true power of our mind

For anyone who thinks "it's too late" I want you to take a good look at the life of Louise Hay, who we lost at 90 years old on August 30th.

Even if you think you're not familiar with Louis' work, I'll bet you actually are and you don't even know it.

Ever hear of positive affirmations? Yup, that was Louise.

How about healing your body with your mind? Yup, that was her too.

You know the theories on your thoughts becoming your reality? Yup, that was literally her jam (and her bread and butter too)

Before self-help was even a thing Louise was doing the work.

In 1978, at 52 years old, she wrote her first book "You Can Heal Your Body" and began a global movement of mind-body connection and healing. She didn't even begin studying this type of thing until she was in her mid-40's.

I wouldn't say that she's the first person to have this belief, yogis have been practicing this for centuries, but she was one of the first (if not the first) to bring this philosophy to the modern Western world.

I'm not here to share with you what a beautiful and influential person Louise was, you can read all about that here. What I am here to point out, is that this is a women who built her empire after the age of 50.

Wait, maybe you didn't get that so let me say it again.

Louise Hay built her empire, her soul fulfilling, world changing business, after the age of 50.

Age is nothing but a number. Yes, of course we have biological clocks and energy levels that may change and all of that but, you are not dead until you're, well, dead. There's something Tony Robbin's likes to remind people of which I love; "If you're not growing, you're dying", and it's true. There are truly only two states of being.

So why all this fuss? Because I want to remind you that it is never too late to change gears. You can change the trajectory of your business or your life at any moment.

If your job isn't making you happy, you can find another one. If your business isn't what you thought it would be, you can change it. If your relationship isn't fulfilling you, get out of it. If you're sick, adjust your lifestyle.

Your beliefs guide your emotions and your emotions guide your motions.

You can heal your body. You can heal your life. You can change at any time... you just have to believe it.

Rest in peace Louise. A lot of people live in peace thanks to you.
